Care for nature

I laughed a lot about the comment of "JGM green" hahahaha.... :)

Anyway, I think I am a worried person about the environment. I love the nature, the colors of the seasons and how the earth changes in each one of these. I love the animals too... In fact, I am vegetarian because I feel a special commitment to the animals and how people kill them without worry about the pain of the animals. In addition, the excessive consumption of meat requires large companies in the industry to produce large quantities of meat, contaminating the environment with animal wastes. And I am a ciberactivist of Greenpeace, although many months ago I am not posting.
I think people are learning about the care of the environment, but gradually. However, this is important because many of these people grew up without the awareness of caring for the environment.

In my daily life, I did not have the habit of recycling, but since 2010 I live with a girl of Belgium, and in this country the people have the habit of recycling and is in fact a lawful. She helped me to get this habit.

I think I could do more things to protect the environment, like a use the bike, but in Santiago the streets are many dangerous and I have fear of cars !!!
But the global change only must be insentivated by governments through legal action... In Santiago, for example, the number of bike paths is so low... The municipalities should build more for cyclists are safe. In addition, the number of cars is so high, and these are the most polluting.

Anthropology

I thought many years ago study a lot of careers... Not study many careers at the same time, but the possibilities were many... Over time, I began to select the careers really important, such as literature, anthropology, law and, of course, psychology. After, I noticed that I wanted to study anthropology, because I wanted to learn about other cultures and how the cultural constructs affect to the human being. Also, I thought that this career was very difficult because de PSU score are very high, and only some people can enter to study this career. But in the last year og college, I started to investigate the the employability of an anthropologist and the area that could work. Even, I send a email to this university, because I wanted study in this faculty, asking about the employability of an anthropologist, the places where I could work, etc. But the answer of the email did not convince me, and I was afraid to study anthropology... And if not find a job in the future?

Now, when I study psychology in the same faculty where be anthropology, I notice that my fears were exaggerated. The employability of an anthropologist is not only the study of the cultures, but also the study of the physical characteristics of the human being, which is what the physical anthropology study, where a lot employability and salary is very good.

Scientists to study psychological benefits of birdsong

Scientists of the University of Surrey are doing a study will examine the psychological impact of birdsong, and what this help us relax, complete tasks and increase our creativity.

Eleanor Ratcliffe, researcher of the project, said that this study give us knowledge about how the sounds of the nature affects people. For this, in the early stages of the research, she sit outside watching birds like a serious birdwatcher. She tried to differentiate the song of diferent birds, and how affects the melodious song of a thrush in our memories and sense of place.

Ratcliffe will later recruit subjects and examine the effects of birdsongs and examine their brains and how could have the same impact listen the birdsong in an Ipod, for example, and listening the birdsongs in the countryside or in a city.

The evidence of the research demostrate that the birdsongs had a positive impact in the subjects, although it's one of the few research that investigates the psychological effects of birdsongs. In fact, Peter Brash, National Trust ecologist, said that the birdsong it's good for mind and soul and this can gets us closer to the nature, memories, people and places.

Ratcliffe hopes to finish this project in three years, because the study will necessitate long hours listening to birdsong on nature reserves in the countryside.

The music is...

The music moves the world. That's I think about music. The music makes me feel like the protagonist of my life and of the histories of musicans tell through their lyrics. In fact, I am listening music right now in my mp4 !
My history whith music goes back many years ago, when I listened essentially the music that listened my brother, like Soda Stereo, Guns and Roses, etc. After that, I knew other styles of music, like a folk metal, symphonic metal, etc., with groups like Mago de Oz, Nightwish, Rhapsody, etc. Then, I meet people that enjoyed with this music and played these groups with diferent instruments. Although I enjoyed specially whith this music in particular, I was always sought other genres of music. In this search, I discovered the soundtracks of diferents movies, like Lord of the Rings, for example, celtic and medieval music. These last are my favorite music, because make me feel in other times, when the people believed in magical things and the stories about fantastic creatures...
However, I still enjoy with the old groups of my childhood... Guns and Roses, for example, are inmortals ! And I always will enjoy with the classics of all the times :)
